I primarily work with women's issues and young adults. I recognize the unique needs of each client during the different phases of their life and strive to create a safe space and meet all of my clients with respect and compassion for their identity and experience.
Often, clients who seek therapy with me are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and life transitions. Regardless of your particular experience, you may feel at a loss to manage your emotions, change your patterns, or make sense of what is happening and that is where therapy can help.
My style as a therapist is collaborative, interactive and empathic. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to the needs of each person and have experience & training in CBT, IFS, Mindfulness and Brainspotting.
Services for Women
Women experience and view the world differently than men, in general, and we tend to feel emotions more deeply. You may be experiencing emotions that you didn't know you had, or are sad when you "should" be happy. Your depression, or grief, or anxiety, may be out of control and affecting not only you, but others around you. Your symptoms, while unique to you and your own experience, are treatable. You can feel better.
Services for Young Adults
Young adults today face many challenges that are unique to their generation. Some of the issues we can address are: adjusting to life transitions, self-esteem, relationship changes, career choices and goal setting. I work with clients 17 and older.
Parenting is tough. That voice inside your head can pull you in many directions and you are not sure how to help your child. Therapy can be a space to discuss the challenges of parenting and also develop new strategies to help you and your child communicate better and feel better.
Individual counseling can help confront obstacles that have begun to interfere with our overall well-being. I provide in mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy and strengths based approaches to persons of any age. Areas of focus include: supporting individuals with life transitions, anxiety, stress, anger and sadness.
